Novus Laurus Books publishes picture books for Kindergarteners … and adults … about social and emotional learning. Each book features a rare or beautiful animal along with a single SEL principle like empathy, perspective taking, leadership, sharing etc. The animal characters are named according to the region of the globe they live in and deliver the SEL lesson couched in a story that applies to the particular animal. Book stories and photographs are by Pradeep Aradhya
1. What age group are your books designed for?
Answer: Our picture books are primarily created for kindergarteners and young children, though they are written in a way that is also enjoyable and meaningful for adults reading along with them!
2. What are the core themes of the books?
Answer: Our books focus on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). Each book introduces a single, foundational SEL principle—such as empathy, sharing, leadership, or perspective-taking—to help children navigate their feelings and relationships.
3. Who are the characters in the stories?
Answer: The main characters are rare and beautiful animals from all over the world. Each animal is named according to the region of the globe they live in, and the SEL lesson is cleverly woven into a story that naturally applies to that specific animal’s life.
4. Are these traditional books or videos?
